About New Zealand Defence Force
The New Zealand Defence Force consists of three services: the New Zealand Army; the Royal New Zealand Navy; and the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

New Zealand’'92s armed forces have three defence policy objectives: to defend New Zealand against low-level threats, to contribute to regional security; and to play a part in global security efforts.

Graeme Clentworth, Head of the Defence Plans Group, has driven the Strategy Execution Programme of NZDF since its inception in 2006. NZDF developed the first Defence-wide strategy in 2005 (as opposed to separate Service strategy for Air Force, Navy and Army). It uses the Defence Scorecard to manage the Joint Chiefs management agenda and each Service and Support Unit has adopted the Scorecard.
